Date of Engagement

Street Outreach projects collect a unique data element called "date of engagement"

Date of Engagement is collected on clients who are "engaged" in discussion with the outreach team regarding their situation and needs, and who may be receiving project services. This data element is collected on the client's enrollment record on the same screen as their project start and exit dates.

On compliance reports, clients without this date of engagement are not considered full project participants, so it's important to track this data element for those who are engaged.

Tips! 🚨

  • You can only record one Date of Engagement between the time the client starts and exits.
  • This date must be on or after the Project Start Date, and before or on the Project Exit Date.
  • If your project doesn't build this relationship before the client exits, leave the Date of Engagement blank.
  • If the client comes back after leaving, start a new project entry and record a new Date of Engagement if they become engaged again.

If you need to record Date of Engagement after the initial entry, simply find the enrollment record and click EDIT ENROLLMENT, then proceed to the program enrollment screen.
