Supporting Your Users

This article is intended for HMIS Representatives. Each agency has one representative designated to oversee their agency's HMIS operations and user authorizations.

What can I do to support my staff using HMIS?

  • Appoint team leaders to own the data and present HMIS-generated reports.
  • Make HMIS a standing topic in your team meetings, making sure operations are running smoothly.
  • Make sure the right staff have an HMIS account.
  • Set expectations for data quality, timeliness, and how often reports should be run.
  • Make sure everyone understands the importance of privacy and security.

You can always reach out to the HMIS Help Desk to ask for assistance. We're happy to meet one-on-one or with your entire team to help you optimize your operations.


Where can I find information on my users and their activities?

From the HOME screen >> MY ACCOUNT >> MY TEAM, you can find all the users assigned to your team as the HMIS Representative for your agency. From here, you can see their usage, reset a password, unlock a frozen account, and even deactivate someone when they no longer need access.
